Fergus is working on some high profile land development projects and is an integral part of the projects team at Envivo. Originally from Ireland, he landed in New Zealand after a three year working stint in Australia.
After completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Ord) in Civil Engineering at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Fergus went on to complete a Masters in Civil Engineering (Upper 2nd class Hons) from Edinburgh Napier University.
Fergus has experience as a Project Engineer with CIVMEC Pty Ltd working on the Rio Tinto iron ore expansion and as a Carpenter/Pipelayer with ACG Contractors Pty Ltd. His most recent Australian experience was with a Land Surveying company in Darwin as an Engineering Surveyor.

On-site monitoring – Fergus liaises with our multidisciplinary teams in-house as well as external consultants to look after our client’s interests on-site to ensure the project progresses smoothly
Contractor selection – contract documentation, tenders and capability assessments
Contract Negotiations— drafting and administering construction contracts and providing highly experienced staff to undertake the roles of Engineer to the Contract and Engineer’s Representative as required by NZS 3910
Financial and Cost Management—project budgeting and tracking, assessing claims
Health and Safety—we advise your obligations under the new Health and Safety regulations
Management Surveillance and Quality Assurance (MSQA) —we provide engineers and surveyors to monitor and check that the construction works are being carried out correctly and efficiently and our expert planners and environmental Clerks of Works will also review the site to ensure consent conditions are being met.
